As described in his 1963 biography ‘An African Abroad’, About the Author, “Olabisi Ajala was born in Ghana of Nigerian parents and has now taken Nigerian nationality.
Although born into the Moslem faith he was brought up as a Christian but now declares himself a firm believer in Paganism, the religion of his soil and fatherland.
After leaving Nigeria, he went to America and wrote for a negro paper in Chicago, and at the same time studied there at Roosevelt University. He usually sleeps all day and writes at night.
Since leaving America, Ajala has travelled all over the world and is now living in Australia and is married to a white Australian girl. He does not believe that the salvation of Africa lies in Communism or the American version of democracy he considers that socialism might be the right answer.
